Wendy Hickman
Wendy has
always been into skin care and enhancing natural beauty. Her
background has allowed her the opportunity to experience this
business firsthand. As a licensed cosmetologist and certified
make-up artist with M A C cosmetics, she has always tried to make
the experience with her clients meaningful while at the same time
providing them the skills needed to help continue to enhance their
look.
From that aspect, Wendy started her own
company, Look N’ Lovely, which allows her to increase and explore
new ideas while at the same time maintaining a one on one
professional relationship with her clients. Because every client
is different, at Look N’ Lovely, Wendy is able to create a unique
look for each client while providing them techniques to keep their
skin beautiful and radiant.
As a result of her hard work and dedication to
the industry, Wendy is committed to providing and maintaining the
highest standards of excellence in client care and safety.
Because she is a licensed cosmetologist and certified make-up
artist, for all clients this means that she has obtained a level
of education and training to demonstrate competency with
government regulatory agencies. Wendy has also received
additional training from Professional/Certified trainers including
world renowned make-up artist Mally Roncal, which also enables her
to be a master in her craft. With every client, her goal

Giving back to my community is as
important to me as enhancing the beauty of each client. One cannot
be selfish when desiring to build an empire. While businesses need
money to run, monetary gain is not my motivation.
Building the confidence and self
esteem in young women has been equally rewarding as servicing my high
end clientele.
From mass workshops to home parties;
from schools to women shelters; from high schools to college campuses, I
have donated several hours of
my time, talents
and products to lift the spirits of
women who only needed a gentle push into their beauty.
Having
had the opportunity of being mentored under celebrity make-up artists
Talya Ashford and Candace Corey, I felt the need to give back. In 2006,
I started a mentorship program component of my business called the
Glamentor Program.
I constantly keep my eyes out for
promising talent and teach them everything that I've learned in this
business. From techniques, to client etiquette to taking pride in
their own beauty - I allow my Glam-R-Us participants to follow and
assist me on jobs and stage an opportunity for them to book themselves
for events or join my staff.
Innovative Services
Weddings, movie shoots, proms and parties excite me! Although beyond
the glitz and glam, some women only want to be pampered. In that, I
along with my two partners Dana Whitney & Amina Simon have created
sub-business within my beauty enhancement empire called Ladies of
Elegance. Ladies of Elegance is a mobile spa service that brings
the glamour and relaxation into the privacy of your own home.
Manicures, Facials, Massages and Makeovers pamper each woman and a
circle of her best friends while community building, relationship
strengthening and self-esteem heightening take root with each service.

While my
credentials show my professionalism and experience, I am a woman who has
struggled with balancing a dream, a job and a family with my desire to
maintain my beauty. I am more than just a make-up artist. I am woman.
